There’s something steady and grounded about Zach Griffin — the kind of quiet confidence that doesn’t need to be loud to be strong.

A senior at San Antonio Christian School, Zach has spent his high school years balancing academics and athletics while staying rooted in what matters most to him. As a dedicated athlete in both football and track, he understands discipline, perseverance, and the value of teamwork. Outside of school, you’ll most often find him hiking — drawn to the challenge and clarity that come from being outdoors and pushing forward one step at a time.

This fall, Zach will begin an exciting new chapter studying Mechanical Engineering at the prestigious Colorado School of Mines — a path that perfectly suits his analytical mind and determined spirit. It’s a bold and impressive next step, and one we have no doubt he’ll approach with the same focus he’s shown throughout high school.

One of the most meaningful details about Zach? He has read the entire Bible — a reflection of the depth of his faith and commitment. The verse that inspires him most comes from 1 Peter 5:6–8:

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful…”

It’s a powerful foundation as he prepares to step into adulthood — humble, steady, and watchful.

Zach’s senior portrait session was made even more special by the presence of his dog, Lucy. Including her added an extra layer of personality and authenticity to his images — and a few moments that were as heartfelt as they were memorable. There’s something timeless about capturing not just who a senior is, but who (and what) matters most to them in this season of life.
